The Dreamer’s Journey
The creation of The Dreamer’s Journey: A Tarot Deck and Story for Children and the Inner Child is an independent collaboration project between Pagan author Monica Crosson, Dutch stick-‘n-poke tattooer and illustrator Pieter de Metz, and SpeakYourOwnBook.com, a book writing and publishing service for independent authors and artists. The deck was created with the idea that all children should feel included and loved. The central character, the Dreamer, is a nonbinary character than can be customized by the child (or your inner child). Follow the Dreamer as they travel the journey that all of us are wandering every day.
Within these pages, you’ll find 22 five-minute short stories that, when read in order, retell the age-old journey of the Dreamer (known as the Fool in the original Tarot), using kid-friendly, updated, and inclusive language for readers age 8 and up. Younger readers will also love these stories when read to them by the grownups in their lives.
In addition to the stories, you’ll discover a delightful coloring page for each card, as well as a set of cut-and-color cards in the back of the book for the young Tarot reader to customize to their heart’s content.
